Salomon Skates is back and better than ever. After a brief hiatus, Salomon's popular TR recreational line will be returning to the United States, and Salomon will also introduce their 2002 aggressive line. This year's line of recreational, speed and aggressive skates integrates then newest of Salomon technology ever. Their entire soft-boot recreational line has been re-engineered to provide the serious skater with the best product available. They intend on having a full range of inline skates which focus on perfect fit, performance, and women's needs, with perfect fit being their first priority.
Unless a skate fits well, and to the specifications of your foot, you won't enjoy skating. Therefore, Solomon has made it their mission to design skates that will fit perfect the first time and every time. There will be a variety of combinations that Salomon has implemented into their 2001 recreational skates that will be available to the skater. The auto fit liner is made of a self-molding foam that molds to the shape of each individual skater's unique foot. The custom fit liner incorporates personalization with heat. It takes on a preserves the exact shape of the skater's foot. The cool fit provides a soft, ventilated liner for optimum foot temperature while skating. And finally, the speed lace and quick lace systems help you adjust the laces on the boot quickly and efficiently, locking them into place to ensure the best fit possible.
The entire line of Salomon skates provides maximum performance for every skater. Whether it's your first time on wheels, or your 1000th, Salomon provides you with all the tools to maintain peak performances. The three axes of performance are the frame, Energyzer, and the system of dampening vibrations. The Power Arch Frames are light-weight, rigid and have been designed for the most effective transmission of energy and maximum power. There are five different types of Power Arch Frames designed for each individual skater. The Energyzer ensures optimum control of ankle flexion providing better control and balance for efficient skating. Vibration control is taken care of by the Driver and the Shock Absorber. The Driver absorbs excessive vibrations while gliding and improves transmission of energy when pushing off. The Shock Absorber absorbs vibrations and thus encourages a smoother, long-lasting glide.
Salomon realizes that men and women are different. That is why they have dedicated themselves to the advancement of skating products designed specifically towards a woman's different physical needs. A woman's foot is generally more narrow and more sensitive in different areas than a man's foot. Salomon has designed their women's line to take these factors into account. They have extensively researched materials used in the fore-foot and the tongue padding to ensure the perfect fit of a woman's slimmer foot, straighter heels and thinner insteps. The upper rear cuff on the women's models are lower cut and in a v-shape to accommodate the specific shape of a woman's calves. Furthermore, since women tend to skate more fluidly and naturally when their heel is in a raised position, Salomon has specifically designed the heel to raise the heel.
Skates will be begin to become available November 15 beginning with the Aaron Feinberg Pro model and the ST-One. Look for the recreational skates to begin to arrive in time for the Christmas season!
